Jobner is rooted in the nuances of diverse cultures that have shaped India. We draw upon the rich tapestry of cultural and technical influences in jewellery, objects, architecture influenced by Mughal and European craftsmanship prior to and during colonisation. This historical backdrop created a bridge between global kingdoms, enriching Indian craftsmanship with a wealth of design perspectives.

Founders’ Journey

With roots embedded in cultural heritage, Jobner is an ode to human creativity and the boundless horizons of aesthetics. Founded by Jitesh Gupta and Radhika Sharma, each is committed to crafting a unique narrative in design and aesthetics.

Gupta was raised amid the rich cultural tapestry of Jaipur, Rajasthan and absorbed the diversity and vibrancy of the region during his formative years. His expertise in gemstones and jewellery has been honed in the family business of gemstone trading, with expertise in African and Indian stones. With over two decades of experience working with gemstones in Africa, Jitesh brings deep expertise in merging ancient techniques with modern aesthetics. For him, gemstones symbolise a connection to India’s cultural narrative, and his passion for preserving these traditions forms the foundation of Jobner’s collections.

Sharma’s formative years in Rajasthan - where languages and traditions converge - shape her belief that art plays a great role in shaping the cultural identity of a region. Her expertise in the field of neurolinguistics and nuanced understanding of identity and aesthetics allows her to define the expressive language of the label. Radhika believes that jewellery is a language connecting people to their heritage. Her designs balance artistic elegance with cultural significance, creating pieces that evoke emotion and memory.
